David Bankes is a happily retired interior designer who was born with a passion and talent for art.

He started painting in his 30s but took a decades-long break to pursue his residential and furniture design career.

During that time, David’s experience gave him an innate sense of balance and color.  

David’s philosophy of "color has weight" is evident in his creations.

Bright shades balance out deeper tones and allow your eyes to “walk around the painting.” 

David's work does not conform to a specific style, as he appreciates all genres of art.

It's always a surprise as to what he will paint next!
